Apprentices bring new energy and fresh perspectives to the workforce. They help fill skills gaps by learning while working, and companies can tailor their training to meet business needs. Additionally, apprenticeships often provide cost savings through government funding and wage subsidies.
It varies depending on the level of the apprenticeship. Generally, for Level 2 apprenticeships, candidates need at least Level 1 GCSEs in English and Maths, but Level 3-Level 5 Apprenticeships require a Level 2 exemption. However, if they don't have any exemptions they are able to undertake their Functional Skills alongside their Apprenticeship.
